Women's networking group Beau Monde Dubai recently hosted a community event at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre for promoting breast cancer awareness. The event featured panel discussions by Dr Nidha Iqbal from Thumbay Hospital on early signs of breast cancer, life medicine expert Jerold Abraham about nutrition and breast cancer survivor Umaima Tinwala on coping with the disease. Awards were given away to 12-year old Himakshi Shastri, a crusader for hair donations and Mehr and Shenaya Bhatia for their efforts to raise funds for children with cancer. What a noble effort!
