After delivering blockbuster movie Rangasthalam, Mega Power Star Ram Charan joined the hands with mass specialist Boyapati Srinu for action entertainer Vinaya Vidheya Rama. The expectations were very high and everyone thought that Vinaya Vidheya Rama would crush the collection record of Sukumar’s directorial venture Rangasthalam but unfortunately it did not happen. Vinaya Vidheya Rama was released on 10th January 2019 on the occasion of Sankranthi and on its opening day the movie received negative response by the movie lovers from everywhere. Now, Vinaya Vidheya Rama is going to be released again, not in the theatres but on the digital streaming website Amazon Prime Video.
Interestingly, the film’s producer is said to have made an agreement with Amazon Prime to stream Vinaya Vidheya Rama on the platform only after the 50 days run at the box ofice. Hence, the film is not yet out on Amazon Prime even though the other Sankranthi releases NTR Kathanayakudu starring Nandamuri Balakrishna & Vidhay Balaan and F2 –Fun and Frustration starring Venkatesh Daggubati, Varun Tej, Tamannah Bhatia and Mehreen Kaur Pirzada, are already out. Now according to the latest buzz, Vinaya Vidheya Rama will be available on Amazon Prime from 3rd March.
We have to wait and see if Vinaya Vidheya Rama scores a decent rating on the digital platform (Amazon) or end up as a disaster there as well.
Vinaya Vidheya Rama is the first film from Mega family hit theatres in 2019. Last year Sankranthi release was Power Star Pawan Kalyan starrer Agnyaathavaasi, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, which also ended as a dud at the box office. We are not saying Sankranthi releases are not good for mega actors but the back to back debacles make us think so.
Currently Ram Charan is working with SS Rajamouli for upcoming movie RRR.
