The young and talented actor Vijay Devarakonda is earning huge brownie points for every off screen actives as much as his onscreen presence. Last year, he launched his clothing brand Rowdy which is operating from Bangaluru. Arjun Reddy star has joined the list of actors consisting of Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Anushka Sharma who have made their mark in the world of business with their own apparel brands. Now Vijay Deverakonda’s team has filed a petition after they located some clothes sold on Amazon.com by local vendors with Vijay Devarakonda’s images on the packaging material under the name ‘Generic’. VD had launched Rowdy, his clothing line, in July last year.
According to the report, Rowdywear Pvt. Ltd. filed a trademark infringement suit earlier this month, alleging the sale of counterfeit Rowdy merchandise on Amazon.com at the City Civil Court in Bengaluru, as the company is headquartered in the same city. They also alleged that Vijay Deverakonda’s images were being used in the packaging material of the products.
Vijay Deverakonda’s assistant Akarsh, said that they came to know about it earlier this month when the managers of Rowdywear brand found the products being sold on the e-commerce website Amazon as part of their routine checks.
On Friday, the City Court ordered the defenders to stop sale of the counterfeit merchandise, the apparel brand owned by Telugu actor Vijay Devarakonda . The court has also established a prima facie case against the defenders.
The hearing about this case will take place on 29th March. On the workside, Vijay Devarakonda is busy with Dear Comrade in which Kannada beauty Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead. Apart from Dear Comrade, Vijay Deverakonda will be next seen in upcoming untitled movie, which is being helmed by Kranthi Madhav. Four actresses- Raashi Khanna, Aishwarya Rajesh, Catherine Tresa and Izabelle De are playing the female lead.
