According to the latest buzz, Sye Raa makers are demanding Rs 40 Cr for the Overseas rights. In this condition, Surender Reddy’s directorial venture has to reach Baahubali range collections to reach the break-even point. It is known news that SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali starring Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, earned $10 Millions at the overseas box office. Sye Raa has rich star cast – Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Nayantara, Jagapathi Babu, Tamannah Bhatia, Vijay Sethupathi, Kiccha Sudeep and others in supporting roles.
It is known news that Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan which was released over 7000 screens Worldwide, was turned out commercially flop at the box office. Thugs of Hindostan had almost everything in its favour – a stellar star cast, Diwali release with an extended weekend, mega release on over 7000 screens worldwide and absolutely no box-office competition for about three weeks. Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan are two big brands and have ruled the Indian cinema but they became fail to save their movie Thugs of Hindostan. With Thugs of Hindostan, the director Acharya had a chance to deliver a historical epic but he settled for a lousy revenge drama with a lot of inspiration from Pirates of The Caribbean and Baahubali.
On the other side, ‘Sye Raa’ make ‘Baahubali’ range collections has become a hot topic of discussion on social media. Overseas deals are yet to be locked.
