Performance: Vamsi Paidiaplly has studied the personality and body language of Mahesh Babu well and presented him extremely well in Maharshi. Mahesh Babu has given an outstanding performance. It’s not just his acting and expressions, his trembling dialogue delivery adds up to the emotion in various scenes. Once again Mahesh Babu has proved that there is just no replacement for him in South Indian cinema. Pooaj Hegde looks cute . Her glamour show is highlighted. Allari Naresh in the role of Ravi, did a fine job. Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj and Jayasudha are fine. Jagapathi Babu as usually has delivered his terrific performance. Meenakshi Dixit is ok.
Technical: The storyline of Maharshi is interesting and impressive. Vamsi Paidipally has carefully balanced the noble storyline and commercial image of Mahesh Babu give a rightly blended and engaging movie. He handled the story and scenes very well. The music composed by Devi Sri Prasad is good. The songs are just ok and background music is impressive. Lyrics deserve applause. Dialogues are meaningful and it add impact to the scenes. The production values are superb. Cinematography are fantastic and the movie has some fantastic visuals. He captures the colorful visuals of village locals very well, which is visual treat.
Analysis: Vamsi Paidipally has touched the excellent subject in Maharshi and made sure that there is something for every class of audiences. Maharshi must be the most satisfying film for Mahesh Babu as an actor. It gives him a lot of scope for exploits his unlimited acting skills. If ignore the lengthy runtime Mahesh Babu will entertain the audiences to the fullest. Maharshi deals with Education system in first half, and the farmers issues in second half. The second half is slow paced.
