George Floyd’ killing, which was captured on video, has caused outrage and sparked a wave of protests in cities across the US and it garnered great support from more than 18 countries. George Floyd, 46, died after Derek Chauvin, a white policeman, knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes on 25th May, reigniting the explosive issue of police brutality against African Americans 5 months before a presidential election. Derek Chauvin, the officer who continued to kneel on George Floyd’ neck as he pleaded that he could not breathe, has been charged with second-degree murder. Thousands of people took to the streets demonstrating in support of US protests against police brutality. They were spotted waving placards and chanting,”No justice, no peace, no racist police.” Milky Siren Tamannah Bhatia tried to be part of the protest online through a social media post.
Tamannah Bhatia took to her Twitter and shared a controversial photograph with a hand imprint on the mouth. Now she is being trolled by the netizens, they are saying that Tamannah Bhatia just wants to be part of the protest like many other actresses. Here’ few comments:
Kushal: First educate yourself on the issue and I think the pic below speaks for itself. #BlackLivesMatter
Sai Charan: I am confused. Black color filled on her neck and post a hashtag of #AllLivesMattter. How is this relevant? Just want to know.
Suresh : Please educate yourself and stop saying “all lives matter”, when it’s a dog whistle used by racists to drown out the message of BlackLivesMatter.
Sheera: Being well educated about the situation is better before blindly joining the bandwagon.
