Power Star Pawan Kalyan starrer court room drama Vakeel Saab remains the highest Telugu opening day of 2021 in terms of Gross/Share in both Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starer rural drama Pushpa failed to surpass Vakeel Saab due to low show counts.
The courtroom drama which also has Shruti Haasan and Nivetha Thomas in the crucial roles, had collected around Rs 42 crore (net Rs 36 crore) in the circuits of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, on its release day. The film crushed the collections of Agnyaathavasi, Katamaryudu, and Sardaar Gabbar Singh and became the biggest opener of the actor’s career.
After a gap of three years, Pawan Kalyan has made an impressive comeback with Vakeel Saab, with this film which was, produced by Boney Kapoor, and it was the Telugu remake of the 2016 Hindi film Pink.
On the othereside, Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa earned Rs 24.90 Cr Shares at the box office of both Telugu States- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its release day.
Pushpa, helmed by Sukumar, also has Rashmika Mandanna, Fahad Faasil , Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj in the crucial roles. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is seen in a special appearance for a song in this rural drama.
