Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the role of his father who was the chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh. Now the makers of NTR biopic has released a new poster that featured Balakrishna as Chief Minister.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao was an Indian actor, producer, director, editor and politician who served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years over three terms.
NTR started TDP on 29th March 1982 in Hyderabad. He said that this decision was based on a historic need to rid Andhra Pradesh of the corrupt and inept rule of the Indian National Congress, which had governed the state since its formation in 1956 and whose leadership had changed the Chief Minister five times in the 5 years.
NTR received three National Film Awards for co-producing Thodu Dongalu in in 1954 and Seetharama Kalyanam in 1960 under National Art Theater, Madras and directing Varakatnam in 1970. NTR has received the erstwhile Rashtrapati Awards for his performances in the films Raju Peda and Lava Kusa. He garnered the Nandi Award for Best Actor for Kodalu Diddina Kapuram in 1970, and the Inaugural Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu in 1972 for Badi Panthulu.
NTR biopic is being made in two parts- NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu, which is being directed by National award winning director Krish. Coming on the pic, Balakrishna is seen thinking like his father Sr NTR. The biopic is jointly bankrolled by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati Ranganatha, Vishnu Induri under NBK Films, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, Vibri Media banner.
Vidya Balan will be seen playing Basavatarakam, Rana Daggubati as Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Daggubati Raja as N. Trivikrama Rao, Bharath Reddy as Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, Nandamuri Kalyan Ram as Nandamuri Harikrishna, Sumanth as Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Satyanarayana as H.M. Reddy, Payal Rajput as Jaya Sudha, Rakul Preet Singh as Sridevi.
