The makers of Kangana Ranaut starrer upcoming ‘Manikarnika :The Queen of Jhansi’ unveiled the first look of Danny Denzongpa as Ghulam Ghaus Khan, which is going viral on social media sites. Coming on the first look poster, Danny Denzongpa is seen riding a horse in a senapati attire, supervising the preparations of Jhansi Fort.
The team had earlier shared the looks of Atul Kulkarkarni as Tantya Tope, Jisshu Sengupta as Maharaja Gangadhar Rao and Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkari Bai and now it was the turn of Danny Denzongpa.
Danny Denzongpa is seen essaying the role of Ghaus Baba. He will act as the commander of Manikarnika’s army and a father figure to Queen Rani Laxmibai’s character, played by Kangana Ranaut.
Recently during the media interaction, Producer Kamal Jain opened up about Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi and said, “Danny Denzongpa was our first for the character of Ghaus Khan in the film. He has worked really very hard for pulling off this character effortlessly in this drama.”
Manikarnika : The Queen of Jhansi is all bout Rani Laxmibai’s fight against British colonisers for the rightful independence of her country and land.
Arundhati viallian Sonu Sood was initially roped in to play the role of Sadashiv Narayan Rao, but following his exit, Zeeshan Ayyub will now play the part.
Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika :The Queen of Jhansi’ is being produced by Zee Studios and Kamal Jain. The film is slated to release on 25 January, 2019.
The trailer of Manikarnika:The Queen of Jhansi will be unveiled on 18th December.
Danny Denzongpa was last seen in Bioscopewala directed by Deb Medhekar and produced by Sunil Doshi. The movie was an adaptation of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore’s short story Kabuliwala and released on 25 May 2018. The actor played the role of Rehmat Khan.
