O Baby is said to be remake of Korean drama Miss Granny. This Korean film is being remade by director BV Nandhini Reddy and Samantha has been roped in to play the younger version of the character. Earlier it was heard that she would be playing the 70-year-old granny as well but this is not true. The makers have roped veteran actress Lakshmi to play the old Samantha.
Samantha is playing the lead role in this female centric movie and Rao Ramesh will be seen in the role of her son. The sources close to the film unit reveal that Adivi Sesh will be seen in a cameo appearance in Samantha starrer O Baby and his role will have brief screen time.
It is heard that Adivi Sesh is very happy with his character in this film and has agreed to come on the board. Rao Ramesh and Naga Shaurya in important roles in O Baby! Yentha Sakkagunnave. The film is bankrolled by Sunita Tati under the banner People’s Media Factory and Suresh Productions.
Samantha Akkineni was last seen in U Turn, which was a Tamil – Telugu bilingual directed by Pawan Wadeyar. The mystery thriller U Turn that has Samantha, Adhi Pinisetty and Rahul Ravindran in the lead roles was the remake of hit Kannada movie of the same name. Currently Samantha is busy in her upcoming movie Majili, which is being directed by Shiva Nirvan.
On the otherside, Adivi Sesh who has been the part of several hit movies like Ladies & Gentlemen, Baahubali: The Beginning, Dongaata, Kshanam, Ami Thumi, and Goodachari, is currently busy in 2 States.
