Sunil Shetty to play key role in Varun Tej film

Mega Prince Varun Tej has joined hands with Kiran Korrapati, a former assistant of Srinu Vaitla for an upcoming project in which he will be seen essaying the role of a professional boxer. If ongoing buzz in media and film industry is to be believed, the makers are going to bring Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty to play key role in this upcoming sport based drama.

 Sunil Shetty is all set to debut in Telugu cinema with Varun Tej’ upcoming sports drama. The sources say, “The upcoming film is a sports-themed drama something on the lines of Salman Khan’s Sultan. The makers have recently met Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty and discussed about the possibility of the project. Sunil Shetty is very impressed with the narration and is willing to come on the board.”

 Incidentally, Sunil Shetty is also making his debut in Kannada with Pailwaan in which Kichcha Sudeep is playing the lead role. He will also be seen playing crucial role in Priyadarshan’s Malayalam epic historical war saga Marakkar: The Lion of the Arabian Sea.

Varun Tej is playing the role of a boxer and the film requires Varun Tej to beef up to fit his character in the movie and he is undergoing a stark physical transformation under the supervision of, Olympic Gold Medalist Tony Jeffries in Los Angeles, USA.  Varun Tej and Sunil Shetty starrer will be bankrolled by Allu Bobby and Sidhu. The untitled film will go on floors in summer.

Sunil Shetty’ popular Hindi movies are Waqt Hamara Hai, Dilwale,  Bhai, Border, Hera Pheri, Dhadkan Anth, Mohra, Gopi Kishan,  Krishna, Border, Judge Mujrim,  Bhai,  Qahar,  Phir Hera Pheri, Refugee, Apna Sapna Money Money. In Bollywood he will be seen in Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior.
