Dhruv Vikram’s maiden flick Varmaa, the Tamil remake of Telugu blockbuster film Arjun Reddy, will be re-shot entirely. It looks like Megha Chowdhury, the female lead of Varmaa, is unaware of the new development. Is She is cheated by the makers?
According to Megha Chowdhury, the makers did not inform her about their decision to re-shoot Varmaa. Recently in an interview, Varmaa girl Megha Chowdhury responded about the reshoot and said, “I’m completely unaware of this. This information is news to me. I will talk to the concerned people soon.”
Megha Chowdhury is a Model, VJ and actress who hails from Bengal, India. She is a trained Kathak expert. She has also worked as a brand ambassador for brands like Jac Body Oil and appeared in one of their magazine ads.
Apart from Megha Chowdhury and Dhruv Vikram, Varmaa has other stars like Eswari Rao, Raiza and Akash Premkumar in supporting roles.
It is heard that director Bala, who is one of the co-producers of Arjun Redy remake- Varmaa along with E4 Entertainments, had changed the script. Yesterday the production house E4 Entertainment released a statement and said, “We, at E4 Entertainment, are not at all happy with the final version handed over to us and due to various creative and other differences, we have decided not to release this version. Instead, we will start afresh, and shoot a new version of ‘Arjun Reddy’ with Dhruv as the main lead staying true to the soul and intention of the original.
B Studios, director Bala’s production and distribution company, had struck an agreement with E4 Entertainment to remake Arjun Reddy- Varmaa, which was supposed to be the launchpad for Dhruv Vikram, the son of Tamil star Vikram. Earlier Varmaa was scheduled to hit the theaters on 14th February on the occasion of Valentine day.
Now as National Award-winning director Bala has been walked away from the project, the official announcement regarding the new cast and crew, including director and release date will be made shortly.
